Recovered Identity

Scripture:
“Put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” — Ephesians 4:24 (ESV)
Today's scripture calls us to affirm our new identity.
Yet in truth, this identity is not entirely new—it is who God originally created us to be.
The Bible calls it “new” because humanity lost its holy nature to Satan and took on the identity of sin in Eden.
But the good news is that one of the reasons Jesus Christ came to die was to restore our original identity.
Through faith in Him, your true identity of righteousness and holiness has been fully recovered.
You can now walk away from the sin identity and embrace a life of holiness.
All you have to do is follow your new nature, allowing it to take the lead in every area of your life—your thoughts, your beliefs, and your actions
Reflection
What identity have you been living from—your restored nature in Christ, or the old labels of sin and failure? Today, choose to align your life with who God says you are?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for restoring my true identity through Your sacrifice. I receive my nature of righteousness and holiness, and I choose to follow the leading of my new nature in every part of my life. Amen.
