Scripture:

“Trust in him at all times, you people.Pour out your heart before him.God is a refuge for us.”— Psalm 62:8 (WEB)

You don’t need to put on a show in prayer or try to impress God with big words.

God wants you to come to Him with total sincerity of heart.

He desires that you lay bare your feelings before Him and hold nothing back.

How do we know this? Because this is how the people who had real, deep relationships with God in the Bible prayed.

David, at different points in his life, openly expressed anger, frustration, confusion, remorse, and pain before God.

He poured out his heart with complete honesty.

Even Elijah, in a moment of deep discouragement, was open with God about how overwhelmed he felt.

God did not reject them for their honesty—and He will not reject you either

Reflection

God is not intimidated by your emotions. He invites you to be real with Him. Honest prayer builds authentic intimacy with God.

Prayer

Lord, help me to come to You just as I am—without pretense or fear. Teach me to be sincere before You and to trust Your heart with mine. Amen.
